Key Workers
Whitchurch House is extremely homely and not institutionalised, to help promote this feel we operate a “Key Worker” system where each individual is allocated a named Carer (if they wish) who acts as a friend and encourages them to live as normal a life as far as possible. This may be by keeping in contact with the outside world through inviting friends to visit for luncheon or tea, arranging personal shopping, helping to read or write letters or maybe remembering a card for that special someone. It’s the little things which make a difference and our Key Worker system creates a closer bond between relatives, staff and everyone who lives at Whitchurch House.
